Albers Tobacco

Paxton FabricL9243-06

Albers Tobacco shows a tightly ordered geometric weave in warm tobacco brown, lifted by pale linear accents that give the design crisp definition. The overall effect is grounded and textural, with a dry, tailored feel rather than a glossy finish.

About this fabric

From Larsen’s Paxton collection, this fabric has a repeat of approximately V 38cm and H 35cm, with a width of approximately 138cm and a composition of 49% viscose, 35% polyester and 16% cotton. The pattern reads as an interlocking basket-like grid, where slender cream lines sit against a richer tobacco ground to create a clear, rhythmic surface. In this colourway the brown is warm and slightly golden, so the motif feels more inviting than stark and catches the light with a soft, matte depth. It is a smart, versatile cloth with enough visual structure to anchor a scheme without feeling heavy.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, banquette or cushions where the warm tobacco tone can add depth against timber, linen or painted neutrals. It also works well in a study or sitting room, where the geometric repeat brings order and a tailored edge.

A warm, structured weave that adds interest without overpowering a scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Albers Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
