About this fabric
Part of the Tarka collection by Jane Churchill, this fabric is composed of 57% viscose, 31% cotton, 9% linen and 3% polyester, giving it a natural-looking handle with a little added practicality. The repeat is approximately V 32cm and H 23cm, and the stripe reads as a broad, rhythmic pattern rather than a rigid line. In this colourway the aqua sits at a muted, powdery point of the spectrum, so the contrast against the pale ground feels soft and coastal instead of high-impact. At 138cm wide, it is a versatile fabric for made-up pieces where the stripe can run clearly and the tonal texture can be appreciated.
How to use it
Use Apsley Aqua for relaxed armchairs, bench cushions or café curtains where the cool aqua stripe can brighten timber, rattan and painted white finishes. It also works well in calm seaside-inspired schemes alongside sand, shell and pale oak tones.
