Catalpa Mother of Pearl

Taxus FabricL9179-01

Catalpa Mother of Pearl reads as a quiet, luminous cream with a pearly undertone and a gently striated surface. The weave has a natural, linen-like looseness that gives the colourway soft movement without any bold patterning.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a warm pearl cream ground with faint ivory and sand-toned flecks, so the surface feels softly weathered rather than flat or stark. The 85% viscose and 15% polyester composition helps the cloth hold that light-catching, slightly fluid look, while the 138cm approximate width makes it practical for a range of interior applications. With a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, the design is essentially non-repeating, which suits the understated, textural finish visible in the swatch. The overall effect is airy and calm, with enough visual depth in the weave to stop the neutral from looking plain.

How to use it

Use it where you want a pale neutral that still has texture: on relaxed upholstery, occasional chairs or layered curtains. It sits especially well beside blond wood, chalky paint colours and brushed brass for a soft, refined room.

A luminous neutral that layers easily with oak, linen and pale metallics.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
