Wildwood Yellow brings a sunny, softly aged yellow ground to Jane Churchill’s lively safari-inspired scene. The palette feels bright but not acidic, letting the painted animals and palms stand out clearly.

About this fabric

This printed fabric is composed of 90% cotton and 10% linen, with an approximate width of 138cm and a vertical repeat of 67cm, so the pattern has room to breathe across larger pieces. In this colourway, the background reads as a gentle warm yellow with a mellow, slightly sun-faded look rather than a sharp lemon tone. The foliage, pools and animals lift against it in fresh greens, blues, coral pinks and touches of white, giving the design a spirited but easygoing character. With its mid-weight cotton-linen handle, it is a versatile fabric for both decorative upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Wildwood Yellow to bring warmth into a relaxed country room, particularly with natural woods, rattan and painted finishes. It pairs especially well with green accents or crisp off-white linens, which keep the yellow feeling bright and buoyant.

A cheerful warm ground that brings out the playful palette and works well across cushions, loose covers or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
