About this fabric

This plain velvet is made from 100% polyester and has a 138cm width, making it a practical choice for upholstery projects. The densely textured surface appears smooth at first glance, while the fine pile catches the light in soft vertical and diagonal shifts. ESS4300 is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery and is machine washable for straightforward aftercare. It also carries Contract GreenFR® Plus flame retardancy.

How to use it

Use the deep burgundy-red tone on a tailored sofa, club chair or dining seat where its dark, wine-like depth can act as a strong focal colour. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and muted neutrals to soften the intensity without losing its luxe character.
