Misc Fabric

Balmoral Harbour Blue is a bold checked fabric with a rich navy-blue ground lifted by brick-red and soft ivory lines. The result feels heritage-inspired, crisp and tailored, with a lively contrast that stands out clearly in the weave.

About this fabric

Woven in 78% polyester and 22% cotton, Balmoral Harbour Blue has the practical handle of a versatile furnishing fabric and a clean, lightly textured surface. The check combines deep harbour blue blocks with warm red overchecks and pale cream pinstripes, giving the pattern a strong tartan rhythm without feeling overly heavy. At 140cm wide with a 32cm vertical and 35.5cm horizontal pattern repeat, it is well suited to coordinated upholstery and drapery projects where the scale of the check can be shown off. The colourway reads cool and grounded overall, with the red accents adding just enough warmth to keep the blue from looking flat. Care instruction BQV1< should be followed for cleaning and maintenance.

How to use it

Use this colourway on armchairs, bench seats or relaxed curtains where the large check can bring structure and character to the room. It works especially well with painted timber, oatmeal linens and muted red accessories.

Pairs well with warm oak and crisp white for a classic country look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
