San Michele Rosso

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

San Michele Rosso shows a bold scrolling floral pattern in ruby red, berry pink and muted plum on a warm cream ground. The motif feels richly decorative, with enough contrast to read clearly across the full repeat.

About this fabric

This fabric is a 145cm-wide textile in 69% polyester and 31% cotton, with a 36.2cm pattern repeat and no performance features noted. The design layers leaf-like forms and stylised florals in deep red, rose, plum and blush, giving the surface a dense but readable rhythm. On the cream background, the warmer reds feel saturated and slightly jewel-toned, while the softer pink and mauve accents stop the pattern from becoming too heavy. The result is an ornate, clearly patterned fabric that feels substantial and detailed rather than airy or plain.

How to use it

Use San Michele Rosso on a statement chair, ottoman or occasional headboard where its warm red ground can bring richness without relying on a solid colour. It also works well with aged wood, brass and soft stone neutrals that pick up the cream background.

Pair with quiet neutrals to let the rich ruby pattern stay the focus.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
