Monza FR Grape

Upholstery Fabric

Monza FR Grape is a softly heathered plain with a cool grape-grey cast and a subtle linen-like surface. Its tone feels restrained rather than vivid, with the weave giving the colour a dry, tailored look.

About this fabric

This upholstery fabric is woven to a 140cm width with no pattern repeat, making the overall effect calm and uninterrupted across seating. The composition of 50% pol 24% cot 12% vis 14% li helps create the slightly crisp, textile-rich handle visible in the swatch, where fine vertical slubs and a lightly striated weave break up the colour. In this Grape colourway, the shade reads more as muted mauve-grey than a strong purple, with cool undertones and a soft, chalky finish. It has enough depth to hold its own on larger upholstered pieces while still sitting comfortably among neutral schemes.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a clean-lined sofa, dining chair or banquette where the subdued grape tone can add interest without feeling bright. It works especially well with stone, charcoal and washed timber, which bring out the fabric’s cool, understated character.

Pair with pale oak and chalky neutrals for a quietly tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
