Clarence Green
Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11185.735
Clarence Green is a muted olive textile with a closely woven, fine diagonal texture visible across the swatch. Its subdued green reads softly rather than brightly, with a gentle khaki-taupe cast in the weave.

About this fabric
The compact weave gives Clarence Green a neat, lightly textured surface, with tiny diagonal lines adding depth without forming a bold motif. Made from 44% cotton, 38% viscose, 10% linen and 8% polyester, it is 140 cm wide and specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 27,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this olive green on a tailored armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool, softened depth can anchor warm neutrals, natural timber and aged brass. It also works as a restrained curtain or bedspread fabric when a room needs colour without high contrast.
The muted olive tone and fine woven texture suit tailored upholstery, curtains and understated bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Clarence Green is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
