Bray Olive

Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11187.730

Bray Olive has a deep, earthy olive tone with subtle tonal movement across its softly textured surface. The close-up image shows a quiet, plain finish rather than a defined motif, with darker and lighter areas shifting gently through the pile or weave.

About this fabric

This GP & J Baker fabric combines 45% cotton, 40% viscose and 15% polyester in a 137 cm width. Its muted olive colour leans warm and brown, giving the surface a grounded depth rather than a bright, leafy green appearance. Fine mottling and faint directional shading keep the plain face from looking flat while retaining a restrained, smart character. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for loose upholstery, fixed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Bray Olive on a reading chair, sofa or upholstered bed where its dark, softened green can anchor natural timber and warm neutrals. As curtains or a bedspread, its low-contrast surface adds depth without introducing a separate pattern.

A deep, softly mottled olive textile with enough visual texture for upholstery and a composed drapery scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
