Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11187.840

Bray Ochre is a warm, sunlit tan with a softly mottled woven surface. Its gentle variation in tone gives the plain cloth more depth than a flat ochre.

About this fabric

Made from 45% cotton, 40% viscose and 15% polyester, Bray Ochre has a subtly napped, fine woven appearance with delicate tonal movement across the surface. The colour sits between golden ochre and natural camel, reading warm and earthy rather than bright or yellow. At 137 cm wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it a practical choice for upholstery where this softly textured finish can be appreciated.

How to use it

Use Bray Ochre to warm a neutral sitting room on a sofa, occasional chair or loose cover, or carry the golden tan through curtains and a bedspread for a softly layered scheme. Pair it with chalky creams, walnut wood and muted olive for a grounded, natural palette.

A warm, quietly textured ochre that brings natural depth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
