About this fabric

The fabric has a quiet, brushed-looking surface with fine horizontal tonal variation rather than a defined motif, giving the colour depth without visual busyness. Its composition is 45% Cotton, 40% Viscose and 15% Polyester, with a 137 cm (53.82") width. Rated to 50,000 Martindale, it is specified for Curtains, Loose Upholstery, Fixed Upholstery and Bedspreads. The dense-looking, adaptable cloth suits both structured seating and softly falling window treatments, while its deep blue-charcoal tone brings a cooler, more understated mood.

How to use it

Use Bray Indigo on a buttoned chair, sofa or upholstered bed where its smoky depth can read as sophisticated rather than stark black. It also works as a full-length curtain or bedspread, especially alongside pale stone, chalky grey and warm timber.

A deep, cool indigo with softly mottled tonal texture, suitable for tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
