Compton Green/Blue combines a warm cream ground with closely spaced vertical stripes in muted blue and soft green. Small floral and diamond details add gentle pattern without overpowering the narrow linear rhythm.

About this fabric

The design is formed from alternating fine lines, dotted bands and repeating small floral-diamond motifs, giving the surface a detailed, orderly appearance. Its subdued green-blue tones read cool against the softly aged cream background, while the narrow stripes create visual height and depth. Woven in 90% cotton and 10% linen, the fabric is 136 cm wide, with a 36 cm vertical repeat and a 17 cm horizontal repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Pair the muted green-blue stripes with warm ivory, natural timber and softly weathered painted furniture. The vertical layout works especially well on relaxed curtains or on a traditionally shaped chair, with the cream ground keeping the pattern light.

Use this softly coloured stripe for tailored curtains, upholstered pieces or a coordinated bedspread in a calm traditional room.
