Compton Red/Ochre brings a warm, softly faded rhythm of narrow vertical stripes to the House Small Prints collection. Muted brick red, ochre and creamy beige sit together in a finely detailed linear design.

About this fabric

The swatch shows closely spaced vertical bands, combining coral-red and ochre stripes with delicate zigzag, floral and geometric detailing on a creamy beige ground. Its warm, softened colouring has a gently vintage character, while the narrow repeated lines keep the overall effect ordered rather than busy. Made from 90% cotton and 10% linen, the 136 cm wide fabric has a 36 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 17 cm horizontal repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, and it must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use this red-and-ochre colourway to add gentle warmth to a neutral room, particularly as tailored curtains or a patterned occasional chair. Pair it with aged wood, ochre accents and creamy upholstery to draw out the swatch’s softened, country-house character.
