Suisai Taupe/Paprika/First Light combines a pale First Light ground with softly shaded taupe chevrons and fine paprika accents. In the swatch, the low-contrast palette gives the vertical geometric weave a calm, lightly warmed appearance.

About this fabric

This 479gsm fabric has a substantial woven handle suited to upholstery. Its 135cm usable width is filled with tightly spaced vertical chevrons, creating a narrow, rhythmic geometric texture rather than a broad-scale motif. Pale taupe zigzags soften into the creamy First Light ground, while slender paprika-coloured lines add warmth without making the colourway feel saturated. With 86 threads per cm and a 17cm horizontal repeat, the finely detailed pattern reads as a continuous vertical design across a chair, bench or sofa.

How to use it

Use this pale taupe colourway to upholster a tailored armchair or banquette where its fine chevrons can add texture without dominating the room. Pair the First Light ground with warm ivory and natural timber, then pick up the restrained paprika accents in a cushion or small decorative detail.

A substantial woven chevron with a softly warm, low-contrast palette for tailored upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Suisai Taupe/Paprika/First Light without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
