About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this Portland fabric has a usable width of 137cm and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the stripe easy to plan across cushions, blinds and curtains. The swatch shows a bright white ground interrupted by soft aqua bands and deeper navy blue stripes, with the herringbone weave visible in the paler sections for extra texture. With a Heavy Domestic upholstery grade and a Martindale rating of 30,000, it is suitable for upholstery as well as drapery, and it can be treated for FR use in both applications. The overall effect is cool, clean and slightly nautical rather than vivid, so the stripes feel calm and coastal rather than high-contrast.

How to use it

Use it on a deep-buttoned armchair, bench cushion or relaxed curtains where the aqua tones can pick up natural light. It also works well with pale oak, chalk white and brushed nickel for a fresh, seaside scheme.
