Jardine Lumiere Batik Wavy

SS24 Images - Jardine, Luxoria & Orissa Fabric

Jardine Lumiere Batik Wavy brings a bold indigo stripe to the surface, broken up by pale batik-style bands and fine red accent lines. The overall effect feels graphic and rhythmic, with a softly textured, woven look.

About this fabric

Woven in 77% viscose and 23% linen, this fabric has a smooth but slightly slubby handle that helps the blue ground read with depth rather than flatness. The pattern repeats every 69 cm horizontally and 60 cm vertically, giving the design its strong columnar stripe and batik-edged wave sections. A 140 cm usable width and 20,000 Martindale make it suitable for General Domestic upholstery as well as drapery, and it is treatable for FR use in both applications. In this colourway, the deep indigo base is lifted by cooler pale bands and narrow red pinstripes, creating a crisp, coastal-meets-traditional feel.

How to use it

Use it on an accent chair, ottoman or full-length curtains where the vertical stripe can add height and structure. It works especially well with oat linen, painted timber and dark bronze details.

Pair with warm woods or chalky neutrals to soften the graphic indigo stripes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
