About this fabric

The dense-looking weave combines garnet, crimson and burgundy tones with clearly visible blue and muted ochre flecks. Its closely spaced horizontal rows give the surface a softly irregular, tactile character rather than a flat, uniform red. The darker red base makes the occasional cooler blue thread stand out, while the warm ochre notes add depth. This textile is catalogued as fabric and its substantial woven appearance makes it particularly well suited to upholstery.

How to use it

Use Islabank Mill Garnet on a statement chair, footstool or sofa where its deep garnet tone can bring warmth without becoming a plain block of red. Pair it with dark timber, aged leather and blue-grey accents to draw out the cooler threads in the weave.

Use this richly layered garnet weave to add warmth and visual depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
