About this fabric

Part of the Modena collection by J Brown, this plains fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use. The swatch shows a muted mineral grey ground with pale chalky highlights and slightly deeper smoky flecks, creating a quietly variegated surface rather than a flat solid. Its 80,000 Martindale rating makes it well suited to hard-working seating, while the supplied back coating to Cigarette & Match to BS5852 adds contract reassurance. Care is practical too, with Professional Dry Clean In Situ or Washable at 40°C, subject to the pattern book instructions.

How to use it

Use Modena Mineral on banquettes, occasional chairs, or fixed seating where a restrained grey with a little texture is needed. It pairs neatly with brushed metal, pale oak, and sharper accent colours that can sit against its cool, stone-like base.
