About this fabric
This plain from the Modena collection by J Brown is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with an impressive 80,000 Martindale rub test. In this Lead colourway, the surface appears like a dense olive-black mix, with lighter khaki-flecked areas that catch the light and add quiet depth. The finish looks tailored rather than glossy, which suits the fabric’s practical, hard-wearing specification. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and after care includes professional dry clean in situ or washing at 40°C, subject to the pattern book instructions.
How to use it
Use this deep olive shade on statement chairs, banquettes or fixed seating where you want a dark, understated finish. It pairs naturally with walnut, bronze and warm stone, while the mottled surface keeps the colour from feeling flat.
