Cranbourne Dutch Blue

Arcadia FabricLF1820

Cranbourne Dutch Blue layers intricate blue botanical bouquets over a warm cream ground. The cool, softened blue gives the dense floral repeat a quietly traditional character without making the pattern feel harsh.

About this fabric

This large-scale printed design is filled with stylised flower heads, curling leaves and small connecting sprays, creating a closely spaced ornamental repeat. Its Dutch blue palette moves from pale, softened blue to deeper indigo-like accents against the cream background, giving the motifs depth while retaining an airy contrast. Woven in 20% linen and 80% viscose, the approximately 137cm-wide fabric is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. After-care is dry clean.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-and-cream colourway on a statement armchair, dining seat or headboard, then repeat the Dutch blue in plain cushions or trim. As curtains, its detailed repeat can bring a historic botanical note to a room with warm timber and restrained neutral walls.

A richly detailed blue-and-cream floral print suited to tailored upholstery and full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
