Dimity Ultramarine combines deep ultramarine vertical bands with pale blue and soft ivory stripes, creating a cool, graphic interpretation of a traditional linen stripe. Fine dotted and zigzag detailing gives the lighter columns added depth against the solid dark bands.

About this fabric

The design alternates broad ultramarine stripes with narrower pale blue and ivory columns, edged by delicate irregular detailing and fine vertical dotted lines. Its 100% linen construction has the natural, lightly textured appearance visible across the surface, while the saturated blue bands give the cloth a crisp, tailored presence. At approximately 137cm wide, it is suitable for curtains and general domestic fixed upholstery. Allow 3% shrinkage; after-care is Delicate Wash at 30°C or Dry Clean.

How to use it

Use the cool ultramarine bands to bring definition to a pale, chalky scheme, or pair the pale blue and ivory stripes with weathered timber and soft grey upholstery. The vertical repeat is particularly effective on curtains, while the balanced stripe also suits a neat fixed-upholstered chair or bench.
