About this fabric

This woven upholstery fabric combines a warm ivory base with fine navy, blue and lilac-purple flecks arranged in a broken trellis-like geometric pattern. The close pattern reads almost like tiny stepped arches and interlocking lattice shapes, while the woven surface gives the colour gentle tonal variation rather than a flat printed effect. Malmo Ocean is approximately 140cm wide and made from 30% linen, 61% viscose and 9% polyester. It is supplied for fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic usage grades, and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

The cool blue-lilac tones work especially well on a tailored armchair, headboard or sofa alongside chalky ivory, pale grey and natural wood. Keep surrounding fabrics relatively plain so the intricate small-scale lattice can be appreciated at close range.

Use this cool blue-lilac weave to add finely patterned interest to sofas, chairs and occasional upholstery against warm neutral surroundings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
