About this fabric

The plain velvet has a dense-looking, softly matt pile, while the diagonal fold in the swatch reveals a gentle light-catching sheen. Its cool zinc-grey tone is muted rather than blue, giving the surface a deep, charcoal-tinged appearance. Made from 100% polyester and approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for fixed upholstery in contract and general domestic settings. Allow 3% shrinkage; care is by delicate wash at 30°C or dry cleaning, with no tumble drying.

How to use it

Use this cool zinc-grey velvet on a structured sofa, armchair or headboard where its dark, softly shifting nap can add depth without introducing a strong pattern. Pair it with pale stone, brushed metal and warm timber to balance its charcoal undertone.
