About this fabric

This plain velvet is supplied at approximately 137cm wide for fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic grading. Its 100% polyester pile appears smooth and dense in the swatch, while the folds create darker sapphire shadows and a softly brushed sheen. The fabric allows 3% shrinkage and can be delicately washed at 30°C or dry cleaned. Its deep blue colour gives upholstered forms a confident, luxe presence without introducing a pattern.

How to use it

Pair this cool sapphire blue with pale stone, warm ivory or smoked timber to balance its depth. It is especially effective on a statement armchair, ottoman or tailored sofa where the changing pile catches the light.

Use this saturated sapphire velvet to bring jewel-toned depth to upholstered seating and statement pieces.
