Linwood

Moleskin Velvet Linen

Moleskin Velvet Linen is a softly muted mushroom taupe with the smooth, low sheen characteristic of velvet. The folded swatch shows subtle shifts in depth as the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This plain velvet is woven from 100% polyester and measures approximately 137cm wide. Its warm taupe tone sits between beige and grey, while the nap creates a darker shaded sweep across the fold and a gentle glow on the raised surface. Designed for fixed upholstery, it is graded for Contract and General Domestic use. Care is listed as Delicate Wash at 30°C or Dry Clean, with up to 3% shrinkage allowed.

How to use it

Use this mushroom-taupe velvet on a sofa, headboard or dining chair where its quiet warmth can soften stronger wood tones, charcoal accents or brushed metal. The directional pile adds understated depth without introducing a pattern.

A softly lustrous mushroom-taupe velvet for upholstered seating with a calm, refined finish.

Pairs well with

Moleskin Velvet Linen is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
