Buttons Lapis layers a pale ivory linen ground with a closely spaced lattice of scalloped blue motifs. Small mustard-gold centres punctuate the cool lapis outline, giving the print a gently graphic, lightly rhythmic character.

About this fabric

The design is made up of repeating rounded, flower-like arches in lapis blue, with ivory interiors and small muted ochre centres. A subtle linen slub remains visible through the print, softening the precision of the small-scale pattern and keeping the colourway tactile rather than flat. Made from 100% linen at approximately 137cm wide, it is suitable for curtains and general domestic fixed upholstery. Allow 3% shrinkage; care is by delicate wash at 30°C or dry clean.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-and-ivory ground for relaxed curtains in a light-filled room, or upholster a domestic accent chair against warm timber to bring out the small mustard centres. Natural linens and quiet stone shades will reinforce its softened, airy contrast.

Pair the cool lapis and ivory pattern with natural woods, soft stone and touches of aged brass.
