About this fabric

The swatch shows compact, symmetrical botanical motifs with pointed saffron flowers, pale ivory blooms and intricate scrolling foliage set against a dark mulberry-brown ground. At 416gsm, this is a substantial velvet suited to upholstery, with a 135cm usable width. The pattern repeats every 32.5cm vertically and 22cm horizontally, creating a closely rhythmic surface across a chair, headboard or sofa. Supplied at a standard length of 60m and woven with 57.7 threads per centimetre, it has the visual density expected of a richly detailed furnishing velvet.

How to use it

Use the warm saffron accents to pick out brass, aged oak or ochre accessories, while the deep mulberry ground works especially well on statement armchairs, dining seats and tailored headboards. Keep surrounding plains quiet so the pale flowers and fine dark foliage remain legible.

Use this richly patterned velvet to bring warm, decorative depth to upholstered seating.
