Fruit Green Indigo/Madder

Simply Morris Fabrics FabricMOF0011-02

Fruit Green Indigo/Madder brings a lively botanical arrangement to a soft cream ground, with cool teal foliage threaded between yellow fruit and madder-red blooms. The contrast is colourful but softened by the pale background and gently weathered-looking surface.

About this fabric

This Morris & Co. fabric has a 380 gsm weight and a 137 cm usable width, giving the design a substantial presence for both upholstery and drapery. The repeating composition combines curling teal and indigo stems with small leaves, yellow citrus-like forms and rounded madder-red fruit. Its pattern repeats every 64 cm vertically and 68.5 cm horizontally, creating a medium-scale rhythm across the cloth. In the photograph, the cream ground reads as lightly textured and matte, while the cool foliage and warm fruit provide the colour depth.

How to use it

Pair this colourway with warm natural woods, soft cream upholstery and muted teal accents; the yellow and madder-red fruit can be echoed in cushions or small decorative details without overwhelming the room.

Use the soft cream ground with teal foliage and yellow-red fruit to bring an easy, garden-inspired accent to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
