About this fabric

This Morris & Co. velvet weighs 416 gsm, giving the densely patterned cloth the substantial presence expected for upholstery. The 133 cm usable width is filled with repeating birds, flower baskets and curling foliage, arranged over a 52 cm vertical by 44 cm horizontal pattern repeat. Against the slate background, mulberry and dusty pink accents appear softened rather than bright, while teal leaves and cream birds provide cool contrast. The 57.7 threads-per-cm construction supports the intricate definition visible across the compact botanical design.

How to use it

Use this cool slate-and-mulberry colourway on a feature armchair, footstool or sofa in a room with dark timber, aged brass and warm neutral walls. Keep surrounding patterns quieter so the birds and scrolling foliage remain the focal point.
