About this fabric

This Morris & Co. velvet has a usable width of 133 cm and a substantial 416 gsm weight, making it well suited to upholstery. Against the cool woad ground, the ochre-orange blooms appear warm and prominent, while muted mulberry flowers add depth through the centre of the design. Pale blue-green leaves and fine curling stems create intricate contrast across the mirrored repeat, which measures 62 cm vertically by 66 cm horizontally. With 57.7 threads per centimetre, the closely detailed pattern has a compact, richly woven presence.

How to use it

Use the woad ground as the anchoring colour on a statement armchair, sofa or ottoman, then draw out the warm ochre blooms with timber, antique brass or russet accents. Mulberry cushions or painted joinery will deepen the cooler floral tones without competing with the dense repeat.
