About this fabric

At 416 gsm, this Morris & Co. velvet has a substantial weight suited to upholstered furniture. The cool indigo-slate ground gives the pattern depth, while the warm yellow, peach and coral fruits create lively points of contrast across the surface. Fine branching stems and narrow leaves weave between the rounded motifs, producing a medium-scale all-over repeat. The pattern measures 62.5 cm vertically by 66 cm horizontally, with a 133 cm usable width.

How to use it

Use this cool, deep blue colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard, pairing it with warm oak, aged brass and small accents of muted coral or ochre.

Use the deep indigo ground to anchor warm timber, brass and muted coral accents in an upholstered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
