About this fabric

This fabric shows overlapping acanthus leaves and rounded floral forms, picked out in ivory and pale blue against deeper woad-blue foliage. The colourway is cool and lightly muted rather than navy or heavily saturated, giving the repeat a clean, almost chalky contrast. At 288 gsm and 140 cm wide, it is a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The pattern measures 53.5 cm vertically by 46 cm horizontally, while the listed construction is 35.8 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use Acanthus Woad to bring a fresh blue note to a reading chair, bench or full-length curtain, pairing it with ivory, soft grey or natural timber. Its cool woad ground works particularly well where a room needs botanical pattern without a warm or rustic cast.

The cool blue-and-ivory foliage brings crisp botanical pattern to upholstery, curtains and blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
