About this fabric

This 416 gsm velvet combines a dark forest-green ground with chestnut-brown stems, cream blooms, blue-green leaves and small flashes of warm rust. The visible floral arrangement is highly detailed, with upright stems and repeated flower heads forming a medium-scale pattern across the cloth. It has a 133 cm usable width and a 62 cm vertical by 66 cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the layout important when cutting upholstery panels. With 57.7 threads per centimetre, the closely constructed surface gives the design a substantial, richly coloured presence.

How to use it

Use Forest/Chestnut on a buttoned armchair, ottoman or sofa where its deep green and brown tones can sit against dark wood, leather and aged brass. Cream upholstery piping or warm rust and ochre cushions can pick up the smaller accents in the floral design without competing with its dense repeat.

A richly coloured floral velvet suited to statement upholstery, especially alongside dark timber, aged brass and warm neutral accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
