Helmsley Brown has a grounded, earthy look, with a softly variegated weave that reads like weathered mushroom and taupe brown in the light.

About this fabric

This Helmsley colourway is woven in 100% polyester and measures 140cm wide, with a practical spot-clean-only care instruction and Iron Safe finish. The surface has a dry, tactile texture with small flecks and slubs that break up the brown ground, giving it a natural, understated depth. Rather than a flat chocolate tone, the colour sits in a warm mushroom-brown range with lighter fibres catching across the weave. That relaxed, textural finish makes it feel more lived-in than polished, while still looking neat enough for everyday interiors. With no fire-retardant treatment noted, it is best specified with its practical fabric use in mind.

How to use it

Use this warm brown on a sofa, bench or cushions where the texture can soften clean-lined furniture. It pairs especially well with oak, worn leather, stone and muted cream paint shades.

A warm, textured neutral that works beautifully on well-used seating and layered interior schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
