About this fabric

This colourway of Sanderson’s Byron Wools has a relaxed plaid character that reads light rather than stark, with eggshell and cream panels broken by taupe cross-lines and the faintest powder-blue notes. The fabric is a substantial wool at 365gsm, so it has the body to sit neatly while still feeling refined and woven rather than heavy. At 140 cm wide, it offers practical coverage for domestic interiors, and the 37 cm vertical repeat and 36.5 cm horizontal repeat give the check a steady, architectural rhythm. The 47.5 threads per cm create a fine, closely woven surface that softens the pattern and keeps the overall effect crisp but understated.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, ottoman or bench where the soft check can add structure without darkening the room. It also suits relaxed blinds or cushions in pale timber, limestone and washed linen schemes.
