About this colour

This shade reads as a gentle blue with a noticeable grey cast, so it feels cool rather than bright and brings a restrained lift to a room. In north-facing light it can look more stone-like and slightly deeper, with the blue held back by the grey. In south-facing light the colour opens up and the blue shows more clearly, while still staying subdued and airy. It sits well beside pale oak, painted joinery in off-white, and upholstered pieces in linen, ticking stripe, or deeper navy.

How to use it

Use Blue Clay on walls in a sitting room, bedroom, or hallway where you want a quiet background with a little colour. It pairs neatly with white or cream woodwork, natural timber, and upholstery in soft grey, denim blue, or warm taupe.
