About this colour

This shade reads as a muted blue with grey in it, so it feels lighter than a mid tone but still has enough colour to hold a wall. In north-facing rooms it can look cooler and a little more steely, which suits the shade well, while in south-facing light the blue comes forward and the grey softens so it feels brighter and airier. Against white painted woodwork it looks crisp and composed, and beside natural oak or walnut it keeps its cool, elegant character.
