About this fabric

This Sanderson Sheers fabric has a generous usable width of 306 cm and a substantial 254 gsm weight, giving the cloth enough body for both upholstery and drapery applications. The visible surface is a woven geometric check with vertical 14 cm and horizontal 19 cm repeats, made up of pale ground tones crossed by warm driftwood browns and narrow dark accents. In this colourway, the palette reads muted and earthy, with the ivory segments lifting the design and the taupe blocks adding depth. The texture appears crisp and tactile rather than plush, which suits the orderly rhythm of the motif. Its 41.9 threads per cm suggest a closely woven construction that supports the pattern’s neat, tailored look.

How to use it

Use it to bring quiet structure to a scheme with natural timber, linen and stone finishes. The warm taupe ground works especially well in rooms that need pattern without losing a calm, neutral feel.

A calm taupe check that works neatly on relaxed upholstery or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
