Pina de Indes Indigo

Arcadian Thames Fabrics FabricZOF0208-01

Pina de Indes Indigo pairs a softly weathered indigo-blue botanical design with a pale ivory ground. Repeating pineapple-like blooms, feathery palm fronds and scrolling foliage give the surface a layered, archival feel.

About this fabric

The cool blue-grey indigo motifs are visibly softened rather than saturated, allowing the ivory ground to remain prominent between the botanical forms. A substantial 455 gsm weight and 13.2 threads per cm give this woven fabric a dense, tactile presence suited to upholstery. The design has a 90.5 cm vertical repeat and a 70 cm horizontal repeat, so the large botanical groupings should be considered carefully when cutting. Its useable width is 140 cm, with a standard length of 60 m.

How to use it

Use Pina de Indes Indigo on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its cool indigo foliage can anchor pale upholstery and warm timber. Pair it with chalky ivory, washed blue and natural woven textures to preserve the colourway’s airy contrast.

Use the cool indigo-and-ivory palette to bring patterned interest to upholstered seating while keeping the room light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
