About this fabric

This 425 gsm fabric has a substantial woven appearance suited to upholstery, with the cream background allowing the intricate floral tracery to remain legible. The design combines cool indigo leaves and flowers with dusty red, burgundy and pink blooms, while tan stems warm the overall colour balance. Its 166.5 cm vertical repeat and 140 cm horizontal repeat create a large-scale layout that should be considered carefully when matching pattern across a chair, sofa or headboard. The usable width is 140 cm, and the cloth is woven at 69 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use Kalamkari Indigo / Red on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered bed where its warm cream ground can soften the strong floral scale. Pair it with deep indigo, aged wood and restrained red accents to draw out the colourway’s cool-and-warm contrast.
