French Marble Velvet Malachite

Cotswolds Manor Fabrics VelvetZOF0187-02

French Marble Velvet Malachite has a deep, saturated green ground crossed by irregular chalk-white and pale mineral veins. The dense, flowing pattern gives the surface a dramatic stone-like depth, while the velvet pile adds a soft, light-catching richness.

About this fabric

This Zoffany velvet uses a richly shaded malachite green with darker green movement and sharply branching cream-white veins visible throughout the design. At 416 gsm, it has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, with the velvet surface lending the colourway a deep, luxurious appearance. The fabric has a usable width of 137 cm and a standard length of 60 m. Its 87 cm vertical and 137 cm horizontal pattern repeat creates a large-scale, continuous marble effect across upholstered forms.

How to use it

Use this deep malachite colourway on a statement sofa, occasional chair or headboard, balancing its cool green depth with warm timber, aged brass and softly neutral textiles. The pale mineral veining also works well with creamy walls and stone-toned accessories.

A rich, dramatic velvet with chalky mineral veining, suited to statement upholstery and richly layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
