About this colour

At #B8A898, Double Harbour Grey reads as a muted greige with a definite warm cast, so it softens rather than sharpens a room. It holds enough pigment to feel settled on a wall, but it does not darken into heaviness, instead lifting light with a quiet, mellow tone. In north-facing rooms it can look a little more taupe and enclosed, while in south-facing light the warmer beige side becomes clearer and the colour feels more open. It works well beside oak, walnut and painted joinery in deeper neutrals, and it also sits neatly with linen, charcoal and soft cream fabrics in adjoining furnishings.

How to use it

Use it in sitting rooms, hallways or bedrooms where you want a restrained backdrop for upholstered pieces. It suits woodwork in warm whites, aged timber and deeper brown finishes, as well as sofas or curtains in natural linen, biscuit and muted olive tones.
