Edgeworth FabricCCF0549-02

Breton Chambray is a pale, cool blue-grey woven fabric with extremely fine vertical striping. Its close pinstripe texture gives the surface a soft, lightly tailored appearance rather than a bold graphic pattern.

About this fabric

The 301gsm weight gives this finely striped textile enough substance for upholstery as well as drapery, while the closely woven surface remains visually light. Narrow blue-grey and pale ground threads create a restrained chambray effect, with the fine vertical lines catching the light subtly across the swatch. The horizontal pattern repeat is 0.5 cm and the vertical repeat is 0 cm, so the stripe reads continuously when used across a wider piece. Breton Chambray has a 140 cm usable width and a standard length of 40 m.

How to use it

Use this cool, misted blue-grey on a tailored chair, bench or full-length curtain where its fine pinstripe can add quiet structure without darkening the room. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and soft grey-blue accents for a calm, airy scheme.

Use this cool blue-grey pinstripe to bring quiet definition to upholstery, curtains or relaxed tailored schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
