Karina Steel

Karina FabricCCF0009-16

Karina Steel is a dense, tactile woven fabric in a cool steel-grey shade, lifted by fine taupe-grey flecks across the surface. Its close crosshatch texture gives the colour a softly heathered appearance rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The tightly woven surface combines lighter and darker threads in a subtle crosshatch, creating gentle visual depth throughout this steel-grey colourway. At 400gsm and with a 142cm usable width, it has a substantial presence suited to upholstery. The 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats allow the textured ground to run consistently across cuts. In changing light, the cool grey reads with a restrained taupe warmth in the finer woven flecks.

How to use it

Pair Karina Steel with pale woods, brushed metal or blue-grey accents to reinforce its cool tone, or use warm taupe accessories to draw out the softer flecks in the weave. Its quiet, non-directional texture is well suited to sofas, armchairs and dining seats.

Use this substantial steel-grey weave on upholstered seating where its heathered texture can add quiet depth to a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
