About this fabric

This colourway of Casey has a woven, mid-weight handle that suits both upholstery and drapery, and it is made in a 140cm width with a vertical repeat of approximately 20cm and a horizontal repeat of approximately 7cm. The composition combines 49% viscose, 25% cotton, 16% polyester, 9% linen and 1% polyamide, giving the cloth a softly textured surface with a slight natural slub visible in the weave. In Dorian Blue, the pattern reads as a restrained stripe with repeated dark motifs set against pale beige and stone-toned grounds, while the blue sections appear dusty and weathered rather than vivid. The palette feels calm and collected, with enough contrast to keep the stripe defined without becoming sharp. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Dorian Blue on a tailored armchair, ottoman or Roman blind where the stripe can run cleanly and the soft blue will lift darker woods. It works especially well with chalky neutrals, aged brass and weathered oak.

Pair with quiet neutrals and walnut tones to let the blue stripe read clearly.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dorian Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
