Carbery Tomato

Casey FabricF4731-02

Carbery Tomato is a woven fabric with a lively tomato-red ground lifted by linen-beige highlights. The surface reads textured and compact, with a small-scale irregular pattern that gives the colourway movement without bold contrast.

About this fabric

Carbery Tomato from the Casey collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 140cm approx. wide fabric with no repeat, making the woven pattern feel continuous across the surface. Its composition of 44% Viscose, 28% Linen, 24% Cotton and 4% Polyester gives it a dry, tactile look with a subtle lustre from the viscose. In this colourway the red is warm and earthy rather than bright, softened by sandy beige threads that break up the surface and add depth. The overall effect is smart and textural, with enough body for upholstery yet a relaxed woven character that also suits drapery.

How to use it

Use Carbery Tomato where you want a rich, grounded red that feels more tailored than glossy. It pairs especially well with oak, tobacco leather and muted neutrals, and the linen-toned flecks help it sit comfortably in light-filled rooms.

A warm, structured red that works well on both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
