About this fabric

Carbery Blue from the Casey collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with a clearly textured, horizontal slub effect that gives the surface a relaxed, woven look. The colour sits in a muted blue-green range, with darker charcoal-blue notes and occasional warmer greyed flecks that stop it feeling flat. Its 140cm approximate width and 44% viscose, 28% linen, 24% cotton and 4% polyester composition make it a practical decorative textile with a natural-looking handle. The repeat is vertical 0cm / horizontal 0cm approx, so the design presents as an all-over texture rather than a directional pattern.

How to use it

This shade works well on an upholstered armchair or banquette where its cool depth can settle beside walnut, oak or painted finishes. It also has enough softness for curtains in a room with muted greens, stone or smoked metal details.

A cool, quietly mottled blue that adds depth without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
