Haslemere Old Blue

C&F Classic Prints FabricF3822-02

Haslemere Old Blue has a pale, misty blue ground that lets the trailing branches, flowers and butterflies read with a light touch. The overall effect is calm and refined rather than vivid.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a washed, silvery blue linen ground with a softly weathered look that suits the delicate botanical design. The pattern is printed in gentle greens, lilacs, blush pinks and warm twig tones, so the climbing stems feel airy against the cool background. Made from 100% linen, with an approximate width of 144cm and a vertical repeat of 85cm / horizontal repeat of 73cm, it has the proportions expected for a large-scale decorative fabric. The finish looks relaxed and slightly matt, which keeps the flowering branches from feeling too formal. Care code Q 8 : T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it for curtains, blinds or light upholstery where the soft blue ground can brighten a room without feeling sharp. It pairs especially well with chalky whites, pale timber and the cooler greens already present in the print.

A gentle blue ground lifts the delicate climbing florals and keeps the look airy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Haslemere Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
