About this fabric

This plain fabric has a quiet, textured look, with fine vertical striations and a softly mottled finish that gives the flax-beige colourway a natural depth. The 82% viscose and 18% linen composition helps create its smooth yet slightly dry handle, while the approximate 143cm width makes it practical for made-to-measure projects. With a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approx, it works as a true plain rather than a patterned ground. The overall effect is warm, understated and neatly tailored, with a pale neutral tone that sits between beige and soft sand.

How to use it

Use this flax shade on an upholstered armchair, banquette or headboard where its calm warmth can soften a room without feeling heavy. It also suits relaxed curtains and Roman blinds when you want a natural neutral that still feels polished.

An easy neutral with a refined linen look for relaxed upholstered pieces or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
